COVID-19 Update

Working With You Through Covid-19 Pandemic

Preventing the spread of Covid-19 is not something that should be taken lightly. On the contrary, being vigilant about following the CDC guidelines is recommended to flatten the curve of the coronavirus pandemic. At Zimmer, Mathiesen and Associates, we have been monitoring the Covid-19 virus carefully.  Prior to the increase in infection cases, we have been taking the  precautions recommended for the safety of everyone we have been in contact with.

To prevent further spread of COVID-19, we have sought to minimize in-person contact with existing and potential clients. Fortunately, our law firm is finding ways to execute effective precautions against the virus, while still providing legal assistance to those who need it.

For anyone who has a pending case or a legal issue that needs attention, communication with your divorce lawyer is essential. These are some of the ways we will be communicating with you

Phone communications. Much of the communication we have with our clients happens over the phone. Although our office is currently closed, we continue to answer and return calls in the same manner as if we were working from our building. Our entire staff is working remotely to assist you.

Email and file-sharing applications.  Having access to email  and file-sharing applications (like Dropbox and Google Drive), we can perform the same paperwork as when we are working on location. This allows us to have contact-free transactions. Documents that are scanned or photographed can be downloaded and emailed or shared between our attorneys and yourself.

Video conferencing. When scheduling a free consultation, it is important to meet your attorney face to face. This allows our potential clients to see how much we care and marks the beginning of the attorney-client relationship. Having these conversations on the phone has its limitations. Our law firm is utilizing secure video conferencing for communications with our clients, other lawyers, as well as holding court mediations and trials. Most video conferencing applications can be used with any device (including a smartphone or laptop) that’s equipped with a camera. Video conferencing is especially useful when communications involve more than two people or situations where someone needs to share his or her screen with the other participants in the meeting.

We thank you in advance for your patience during this most challenging and unprecedented time.
